Summary

High myopia without maculopathy does not alter retinal or choroidal thickness compared to emmetropes. Axial length predicts these thicknesses, but only peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) thickness independently predicts best corrected visual acuity (BCVA).
