  • Coarctation of the abdominal aorta was identified as a complication of Takayasu's arteritis.
  • The co-occurrence of mitral stenosis in the same patient suggests a potential link.

  • This case highlights a potential, previously under-recognized etiological relationship between Takayasu's arteritis and mitral stenosis.
  • Further research is warranted to explore the pathophysiological mechanisms connecting these two conditions.
