Purpose of the Study:

  • To analyze the indications and outcomes of laparoscopic adrenalectomy in patients aged 75 and older.
  • To compare the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic adrenalectomy in elderly patients versus younger patients.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of 641 patients who underwent laparoscopic adrenalectomy between 1994 and 2014.
  • Comparison of patients over 75 years old with a younger control group.
  • Standardized preoperative work-up for all patients.
