Summary

This study introduces Gamma-ray Emission Imaging (GREI) to track antidiabetic zinc (Zn) complexes in vivo. The imaging revealed that Zn accumulation in the heart correlates with the potent antidiabetic activity of the [Zn(opt)2] complex.
