Genetic risk factors for pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis

Genetic factors significantly influence pediatric-onset multiple sclerosis (POMS). Many adult multiple sclerosis (MS) risk variants are also linked to POMS, indicating shared genetic underpinnings between pediatric and adult forms of the disease.
