Travel and the Professional Case Manager

¹Eric Bergman, RN, CCM, is an international nurse case manager for AXA Assistance USA, a major provider of travel insurance worldwide, as well as a third-party administrator for dozens of travel insurance contracts. Eric also has more than 6 years' experience as a medical escort for AXA, moving ill and injured patients on commercial flights all over the world. He began his career as a flight attendant for a major U.S. airline and after more than 20 years, returned to school to study nursing. Eric received his bachelor of arts degree from Boston University, an associate degree of applied science in nursing from the College of DuPage in Illinois. He spent 5 years as an oncology and inpatient hospice nurse before joining AXA in 2011. Eric is a certified case manager and president of Chicago Chapter of CMSA. He is an experienced national speaker who has presented at CMSA's national conference and other national venues.
