Summary

The medial funnel technique for cervical pedicle screw (CPS) placement achieved a 94.3% accuracy rate in 28 patients. This novel method enhances safety and reduces the risk of neurovascular complications during spinal instrumentation.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To introduce and evaluate a novel medial funnel technique for CPS placement.
  • To improve the accuracy and feasibility of cervical pedicle screw instrumentation.

  • Retrospective review of 28 patients undergoing CPS instrumentation using the medial funnel technique.
  • Analysis of screw perforation grades (0-3) with grades 0 and 1 considered correct placement.
