Immediate hypersensitivity reactions (IHRs) to iodinated contrast media (ICMs) can be managed using skin tests and controlled challenge tests (CCTs). These tests help identify specific IgE-mediated mechanisms and find alternative, non-cross-reactive ICMs for patients.
