Summary

This study developed a synthetic biology approach to enhance yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) production under heat stress. Combining heat shock protein (HSP) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) genetic devices significantly improved yeast thermotolerance and ethanol yield.
