Summary

Johne's disease (JD) may be controlled by bovine tuberculosis (bTB) testing. The bTB test, using purified protein derivative (PPD), significantly increased interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) antibody responses in cows.
