Modified rhytidectomy approach for total temporomandibular joint reconstruction: a case report
1Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, LSU School of Dentistry, New Orleans.
Abstract:
A case is reported in which a modified rhytidectomy incision is used to access both the TMJ and the lateral ramus for total TMJ reconstruction. This approach hides the incision in the neck hairline and eliminates the retromandibular incision scar.
