Validation of immune complex dissociation methods for use with heartworm antigen tests

Immune complex dissociation (ICD) methods can improve canine heartworm antigen test accuracy, especially for dogs with discrepant results or those undergoing treatment. Recovering bound antigen with ICD is crucial for accurate diagnosis of Dirofilaria immitis infections.
