- Patients with type 2 MI or myocardial injury exhibit higher noncardiovascular mortality but similar crude MACE rates as type 1 MI patients.
- Identifying underlying coronary heart disease in type 2 MI/myocardial injury patients is crucial for targeted therapy and risk modification.
