Summary
Redo totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass (TECAB) has not been previously reported. This case demonstrates a successful second TECAB procedure using the right internal mammary artery, suggesting prior TECAB is not a contraindication.
Area of Science:
- Cardiovascular Surgery
- Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery
- Robotic Surgery
Background:
- Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is a standard treatment for coronary artery disease.
- Totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass (TECAB) offers a minimally invasive alternative.
- Repeat TECAB procedures present unique surgical challenges.
