Summary
A rare lymphangiomatous polyp was found in a 19-year-old female's tonsil, causing throat discomfort. Surgical removal was successful, with the patient recovering well and showing healthy tonsillar fossae post-operation.

- Surgical excision via bilateral tonsillectomy under general anesthesia was performed.
- Gross examination identified a 2.5 × 1.5 × 1 cm soft, polypoidal mass attached to the left tonsil.
Findings:
- Histopathological analysis confirmed the mass as a lymphangiomatous polyp of the tonsil.
- This diagnosis represents a rare benign neoplastic proliferation of lymphatic vessels within the tonsillar tissue.
Implications:
- This case highlights the importance of considering rare benign entities in the differential diagnosis of tonsillar masses.
- Successful surgical management resulted in complete resolution of symptoms and normal postoperative recovery.
- Further research into the etiology and optimal management of tonsillar lymphangiomatous polyps may be warranted.
