Puerperal hematomas can be life-threatening. Selective arterial embolization offers a novel treatment for cases unresponsive to traditional therapies like surgery.

  • Selective angiographic arterial embolization was successfully employed in both cases.
  • This minimally invasive technique effectively controlled the hemorrhage.

Implications:

  • Arterial embolization represents a viable alternative treatment for intractable puerperal hematomas.
  • This approach may reduce morbidity and mortality associated with this obstetric emergency.
