Association between apolipoprotein E gene polymorphism and mild cognitive impairment: a meta-analysis

The apolipoprotein E (ApoE) ε4 allele increases the risk of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). However, the ApoE ε2/ε3 genotype may offer slight protection against MCI, according to this meta-analysis.
