The Lifetime of Salience Extends Beyond the Initial Saccade

Saccades, or eye movements, are biased toward conspicuous targets, but this effect may not extend beyond initial movements. This study shows that second saccades can be influenced by conspicuousness, depending on target properties and peripheral vision.
