Major histocompatibility complex (MHC) Class II is expressed in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) but not small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Higher MHC Class II expression on tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in NSCLC correlates with improved patient survival.

- Reduced MHC Class II expression in SCLC may facilitate immune evasion.
- Upregulation of MHC Class II on TILs in NSCLC is a favorable prognostic indicator, suggesting potential therapeutic targets.
