Giant thrombosed saphenofemoral junction aneurysm: A case report

Thrombosed saphenofemoral junction aneurysms, though rare, necessitate urgent surgery to prevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. This case highlights successful emergent intervention for a giant aneurysm involving the saphenous trunk.

- The postoperative course was uneventful, indicating effective surgical management.
Implications:
- Emergent surgical intervention is crucial for thrombosed giant saphenofemoral junction aneurysms.
- Prompt treatment can prevent serious complications such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
