Summary

Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) offers a promising alternative for treating catatonic schizophrenia when other methods fail. This neuromodulation technique shows effectiveness in both acute and maintenance phases, especially when electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) poses safety concerns.
