Tea catechins induce crosstalk between signaling pathways and stabilize mast cells in ulcerative colitis

Green tea catechins, specifically Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), show significant anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects in a rat model of ulcerative colitis. These findings suggest EGCG may be a valuable therapeutic agent for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).
