Lithium-associated hypercalcemia affects 26% of bipolar patients on lithium. Regular calcium monitoring is crucial, and bilateral neck exploration may be needed for surgical management of lithium-associated hyperparathyroidism.

- Further prospective studies are warranted to investigate LAH.
