Is There a Role for Functional MRI for the Assessment of Extracapsular Extension in Prostate Cancer?

Extracapsular extension (ECE) in prostate cancer can be predicted non-invasively using MRI. Quantitative dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) analysis shows high diagnostic confidence for assessing ECE, outperforming apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) imaging.
