Survival outcomes for intramedullary ependymomas (IEs) are often unclear. Gross total resection (GTR) significantly impacts progression-free survival, while pre-operative clinical status affects overall survival in these rare spinal tumors.

- Patients with a good pre-operative clinical status (McCormick grade 1-2) exhibit significantly better OS than those with higher grades (McCormick grade 3+).
