Relationship between masticatory function and frailty in community-dwelling Japanese elderly

Frailty is linked to reduced chewing ability in older adults. This study found that both pre-frailty and frailty significantly correlate with decreased maximum occlusal force, mixing ability, and self-reported chewing function.
