Long-Term Outcomes of Renal Transplant in Recipients With Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction

Lower urinary tract dysfunction (LUTD) does not negatively impact kidney transplant outcomes. Patients with LUTD, even with prior interventions, showed similar graft and patient survival rates compared to controls.

- Appropriate management of lower urinary tract dysfunction does not represent a contraindication for successful kidney transplantation.
- This study supports the acceptance of patients with LUTD for renal transplantation, provided their condition is adequately managed.
