One of the common DNA damages is the chemical alteration of single bases by alkylation, oxidation, or deamination. The altered bases cause mispairing and strand breakage during replication. Summary

This study demonstrates that single-stage robotic total mesorectal excision (TME) is an effective surgical approach for mid-rectal cancer. The procedure offers a feasible and efficient option for patients requiring this type of minimally invasive surgery.
