A new real-time PCR-coupled High-Resolution Melting (HRM) assay accurately detects Cryptosporidium parasites. This method effectively distinguishes between three major species: Cryptosporidium meleagridis, Cryptosporidium hominis, and Cryptosporidium parvum.
