QT-interval prolongation due to medication found in the preoperative evaluation

Drug-induced QT prolongation, a dangerous heart rhythm issue, can be reversed by stopping suspect medications. Dental surgeons must recognize this risk for patient safety during surgery.

- Dental surgeons must be aware of this adverse drug effect for safe oral and maxillofacial surgery.
- Interdisciplinary collaboration is crucial for managing patients with potential drug-induced QT prolongation.
