[Coronary risk factors in the Mexican population]
Abstract:
We review the coronary risk factors in the mexican population. The data suggest that there is a large reservoir of individuals who are candidates to develop coronary artery disease. Although coronary deaths still represent a small fraction of all deaths, mortality rates have increased recently. General preventive plans are therefore opportune and should be directed to the population at large as well as to high risk individuals and patients with clinical evidence of the disease.
