Phosphatidylinositol 5-phosphate 4-kinase type-2 α (PIP4K2A) regulates cholesterol transport by maintaining peroxisomal phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate [PI(4,5)P2] levels. This finding offers potential therapeutic targets for lysosomal storage disorders.
