BPIFA1 Gene Expression in the Human Middle Ear Mucosa

Bactericidal/permeability-increasing, fold-containing family member A1 (BPIFA1) gene expression was found in all human middle ear mucosa samples. This suggests BPIFA1 protein plays a role in middle ear innate immunity and inflammatory conditions.
