Alterations in cancer stem-cell marker CD44 expression predict oncologic outcome in soft-tissue sarcomas

Elevated CD44 expression in soft-tissue sarcoma (STS) patients is linked to poorer outcomes. This suggests CD44 may serve as a novel biomarker for predicting disease progression and survival in STS.
