  • Differentiate Grover disease atypia from epithelial neoplasms.

Main Methods:

  • Analyzed 33 Grover disease cases (2011-2017).
  • Defined atypical keratinocyte changes: epithelial buds, nuclear pleomorphism, dyskeratosis, altered granular layer.

Main Results:

  • 64% showed altered keratinocytic maturation.
  • 18% demonstrated nuclear pleomorphism.
  • 19 cases had epithelial buds and granular cell alteration.

Conclusions:

  • Altered granular layer is a key diagnostic clue.
  • Helps differentiate atypical Grover disease from neoplasms.
