Background:

Refractory glaucoma presents significant challenges in intraocular pressure (IOP) management.
Existing treatments may have limitations in efficacy or safety profiles.
Minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries are continuously being explored.

Purpose of the Study:

To evaluate the preliminary safety and efficacy of the IRIDEX MicroPulse P3 (MP3) laser technology.
To assess IOP reduction in patients with refractory glaucoma one week and one month post-procedure.
To report on patient comfort and complications associated with the MP3 laser treatment.

Main Methods:

IRIDEX MicroPulse P3 (MP3) laser cyclophotocoagulation was performed on 7 eyes of 7 patients.
The procedure utilized 810nm laser with a 31.3% duty cycle (0.5ms pulse, 1.1ms rest).
Treatments were applied to superior and inferior hemispheres, avoiding temporal and nasal areas; topical steroids were used postoperatively for one week.

Main Results:

A mean IOP decrease of 60.3% at 1 week and 33.4% at 1 month was observed.
A reduction of 0.71 topical hypotensive agents was noted.
The procedure was safe in all cases, effective in 71%, with no significant complications reported; BCVA remained unchanged.
