Diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) reveals microstructural damage in the visual pathway of primary glaucoma (PG) patients. Mean kurtosis (MK) shows promise as a superior biomarker for detecting this damage compared to fractional anisotropy (FA) and mean diffusivity (MD).
