This study developed 17-ß estradiol (E2)-loaded poly(ε-caprolactone)/silk fibroin microfibers for osteoporosis treatment. The E2-loaded microfibers effectively reduced osteoclast activity while preserving osteoblast function, showing potential for treating osteoporotic fractures.
