[Management of severely handicapped patients using a modified electric wheelchair]

For a disabled person to be able to realize his potential for rehabilitation to the fullest extent possible, individualized provision of technical aids may be necessary along with the medical and therapeutic services needed. The present report describes the modifications and additional devices incorporated in an electric wheelchair to answer the specific needs of our severely handicapped client.
