[Tonic protective reflexes and reflex response of skeletal muscles]

Models of excitatory tonic protective reflex revealed different reflex responses of skeletal muscles to stimulation of somatic or visceral afferents. The correlation of inhibitory and excitatory responses was found for dogs and rats. The observed phenomena are considered as the development of V. N. Tchernigovsky's idea of interoceptors influences upon skeletal muscles.
