Abstract:
Panic disorder affects 0.75% of all adult Americans. Up to 50% of these persons may have concomitant mitral valve prolapse. Modifications in dental therapy for this highly anxious group of patients require that closely coordinated care be given by the dentist, the psychiatrist, and the cardiologist.
