Conclusions:

  • Exercise challenge testing does not appear to significantly modify cough reflex sensitivity in children with asthma.
  • These findings suggest that the cough response to chemical stimuli remains relatively stable following acute exercise in this population.
  • Further research may explore long-term effects or variations in different asthma phenotypes.
