Use of the Amplatz introducer sheath to facilitate ureteral stent placement

In eight patients, 7-French double pigtail stents could not be passed through tight ureteric strictures. Coaxial placement using a 10F sheath from an Amplatz nephrolithotomy set allowed the stent to be passed through the sheath.
