Summary

A patient recovering from severe burns developed acute heart dysfunction (hypodynamic cardiomyopathy) and breathing difficulties. This rare cardiac complication following extensive burns has not been previously documented in medical literature.

  • The patient was diagnosed with secondary hypodynamic cardiomyopathy.
  • This represents a novel finding, as no prior reports link hypodynamic cardiomyopathy as a complication of extensive burns.
