Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) testing for ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) can now prioritize immunoassays for proteinase 3 (PR3-ANCA) and myeloperoxidase (MPO-ANCA) over indirect immunofluorescence. Clinical information is key for accurate AAV diagnosis and avoiding misdiagnosis.
