Background:

  • Deficits in executive functions (EFs) and prosody are common in autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the association between executive function skills and prosodic performance in children with HFA.
  • To determine which specific executive function components correlate with prosodic abilities.

  • Fifteen children with HFA and 15 typically developing peers were assessed.
  • Prosodic performance was evaluated using the Profiling Elements of Prosody in Speech-Communication (PEPS-C).
