Lower serum IgA is associated with COPD exacerbation risk in SPIROMICS

Subnormal serum immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels are linked to increased exacerbation risk in COPD patients. Lower IgA levels showed a dose-response relationship with more frequent exacerbations, suggesting a role in COPD morbidity.
