Summary
Pulmonary inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors are rare lung masses. Surgical removal was necessary for this case due to bronchial obstruction, confirming the diagnosis through pathology.

- The mass was observed to compress a segmental bronchus, leading to suspicion of various tumor types.

- Bronchoscopy suggested a mesenchymal tumor, hamartoma, or IMT.
- Pathologic examination definitively diagnosed an inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor after segmentectomy.
Implications:
- Early diagnosis of pulmonary IMT is challenging due to varied imaging features.
- Distinguishing IMT from malignant neoplasms can be difficult, even with small biopsies.
