Skin cancer is a type of cancer that occurs when there is an abnormal growth of skin cells, usually triggered by damage to the DNA within the skin cells. A new grading system for cervical cancer, using tumor budding and cell nest size, shows promise as a stage-independent prognosticator. This approach could lead to a more effective grading system for squamous cell carcinomas.
