Fulfilling spawning flow requirements for potamodromous cyprinids in a restored river segment

Restoring the Vilariça River created new spawning grounds for Iberian barbel (Luciobarbus bocagei) after habitat loss from the Baixo Sabor hydroelectric dam. A habitat suitability model guided restoration efforts for this potamodromous cyprinid.
